These samples date from my time in-house at Compendium. Compendium's products are available at major retailers and small gift boutiques across the US. The brand’s mission to “create meaningful moments with gifts that inspire” carries through to the interplay of functional and expressive copy on product.
ONCE UPON A TIME STORYTELLING KIT
This box is designed to create a magical keepsake experience. Functional sales info stays on the base, while the lid and sides are sprinkled with fairytale phrasing that lead the user to open the drawer and discover a hidden journal.
The product was awarded Best New Gift at NY NOW.

THOUGHTFULLS FOR KIDS: POP OPEN CARDS
Compendium's brand voice leans heavily toward emotion, even with functional copy. Basic need-to-knows (card count, gifting purpose, parenting outcome) become part of the experience for the card giver. Taking a flimsy, throwaway card out of the box now feels like an indulgent treat.
